About the producer

Château Rosan was created in 2012, by the Chauvet-Roux family on four very distinct terroirs: Les Montauds, Les Pellites, Les Maures and Les Terrasses de l’Aille. Candice and Olivier, the 5th generation of winemakers in the family, manage the Rosan vineyard with the master hand of their father Gérard. The strength of this 25-hectare estate lies in its mastery of blends, creating a ‘Rosan’ touch and an inimitable aromatic intensity.

Wine growing / wine making

The richness of this terroir, made up of clay-limestone soil, combined with a very sunny and windy typical Mediterranean climate, enhance the quality of the wines produced. Made up of small plots carefully selected for their qualities. Pellicular maceration which involves leaving the skins in contact with the grape-juice before fermenting, in order to obtain a more aromatic must. 

Tasting notes

Pale in colour with a green tint. Aromas of acacia and honeysuckle, with a beautifully balanced palate and a hint of anise. A long, elegant finish.

Food pairing

Asparagus, fennel, fritto misto, crab linguini, baked sea bass, grilled prawns, light pork or veal dishes.
